The fool
They
No one
The sons of men
These are some words from the opening lines of Psalm 14. The fool says in his heart there is no God. They are corrupt. No one does good. God looks down on the sons of men to see if any seek Him. And then the next verse:
“They have all turned aside, together they become corrupt.”
They have all…together they…
I am responsible for my own sin, but we are all sinners and we seem to feed off each other, don’t we? It is ubiquitous in our age to post our thoughts willy-nilly without thinking them through. Twice this week I have posted something on Facebook and deleted it within the hour, realizing it was neither encouraging nor was it going to spark change where change needed to be.
Do we really think that shared rants and passive-aggressive posts will change the world? Maybe, but I doubt it. It’s too easy to keep scrolling and not really absorb the message, except to become more angry and discontent in our souls.
What will change the world?
The love of Christ, and that love reflected by His followers, the way the moon reflects the sun onto the dark side of the world.

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. (Philippians 4:8)
We can stand together as an angry, dissenting, spewing mob.
Or we can stand for God’s love and grace.
Even if it means standing alone.
