Recently a friend shared on face book that her former pastor had committed suicide. He had struggled for years with depression and anxiety. He leaves behind a wife and three children.
I am not qualified to speak to what causes a person to take his own life. The depression I have faced over the years has been concentrated and surmountable.
I can only pray for his family, and for others who face the same type of anxiety and depression.

There is something else you can do. I say you, because if any of you know me, you know it is beyond my ability.
You can walk.
If you live in northeast Pennsylvania, The American Association for Suicide Prevention will be hosting a walk on September 16 at Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre. You can register on-line. The walk begins at 2 PM. More details and contact information are there as well.
There are already 68 teams registered, by the monetary goal hasn't yet been met. Can you help? Can you walk? #OutOfTheDarkness
